The short version: the Vormly Image to Prompt extension only touches the single image you right-click. It sends that image to be turned into a prompt, then discards it — nothing is stored on our servers. It never reads your browsing history, your open tabs, or the content of the pages you visit, and it contains no trackers.
The extension acts only when you explicitly ask it to — by right-clicking an image and choosing the Vormly "Extract Prompt" menu item (or by dropping/pasting an image into its popup). At that moment it reads the single image you selected so it can turn it into a prompt.
It does not read, scan, or collect the rest of the page, the text on it, other images, your open tabs, or your browsing history.
No browsing history. No page content. No form data. No cookies from the sites you visit. No advertising identifiers. The extension contains no third-party analytics or tracking scripts.
We do not build a profile of you, and we never sell or rent any data.
When you extract a prompt, the image you selected is sent over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection to Vormly's servers, where our AI vision provider analyzes it to produce a text description (the prompt).
The image is processed transiently for that single request. It is not stored on our servers, not written to logs, and not used to train AI models. Only the resulting text prompt is returned to you.
The extension keeps a short history of your recent extractions (the prompts, and the small thumbnails they came from) in your browser's local extension storage so you can copy them again. This stays on your device and is never uploaded. You can clear it at any time from the extension, or by removing the extension.
You can use the extension without an account. If you choose to sign in to Vormly, your extractions can also be saved to your Vormly history so they sync with the web app. That data is governed by the main Vormly privacy terms and is tied to your account, which you can delete at any time.
Context menu — to add the "Extract Prompt" right-click option. Active tab / the selected image — to read only the image you clicked on, only when you invoke the extension. Network access to Vormly's API — to send that image for prompt extraction and receive the result. Local storage — to keep your recent-extraction history on your device.
Each permission maps to a feature above; none is used to observe your general browsing.
The extension is a general-purpose creative tool and is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
If we change how the extension handles data, we will update this page and its effective date. Material changes will also be reflected in the extension's Chrome Web Store listing.
