The short version: the Vormly Image to Prompt extension only touches the single image you right-click. It sends that image to be turned into a prompt, then discards it — nothing is stored on our servers. It never reads your browsing history, your open tabs, or the content of the pages you visit, and it contains no trackers.
The extension is published by Vormly AI Labs LLC, the company that operates Vormly at vormly.ai. "We" and "us" below mean that company, and it can be reached by post at 30 N Gould St Ste R, Sheridan, Wyoming 82801, USA.
The extension acts only when you explicitly ask it to — by right-clicking an image and choosing the Vormly "Extract Prompt" menu item (or by dropping/pasting an image into its popup). At that moment it reads the single image you selected so it can turn it into a prompt.
It does not read, scan, or collect the rest of the page, the text on it, other images, your open tabs, or your browsing history.
No browsing history. No page content. No form data. No cookies from the sites you visit. No advertising identifiers. The extension contains no third-party analytics or tracking scripts.
We do not build a profile of you, and we never sell or rent any data.
When you extract a prompt, the image you selected is sent over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection to Vormly's servers, where our AI vision provider analyzes it to produce a text description (the prompt).
The image is processed transiently for that single request. It is not stored on our servers and not used to train AI models. Only the resulting text prompt is returned to you.
We do record that an extraction happened, so we can tell whether the extension is being used and whether it is failing. That record holds the outcome, whether the picture was fetched by our server or captured in your tab, and the extension's version number. It holds no image, no page address, no web address of any kind, and nothing that identifies you or your browser.
The extension keeps a short history of your recent extractions (the prompts, and the small thumbnails they came from) in your browser's local extension storage so you can copy them again. This stays on your device and is never uploaded. You can clear it at any time from the extension, or by removing the extension.
The extension has no sign-in. It does not know who you are, it holds no session, and it cannot read your Vormly account even if you are signed in to vormly.ai in another tab. Nothing it does is attached to a person.
Opening vormly.ai from the extension is an ordinary link to a website, and what happens there is governed by the main Vormly privacy policy.
Context menu — to add the "Extract Prompt with Vormly" right-click item, and the option to pause the extension on a site. Active tab and scripting — to place the result card in the tab you are looking at, only after you ask for an extraction. Access to sites — so the optional hover button and the result card can appear wherever you find an image; the extension reads the one image you point at and no other part of the page. Clipboard — to copy the prompt, which is the point of it. Local storage — to keep your recent prompts, your hover-button preference, and any sites you have paused. Side panel — to host the extension's own window.
Each permission maps to a feature above; none is used to observe your general browsing.
Vormly's use of information received from the extension adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
In plain terms: the image you select is used to produce your prompt and for nothing else. It is not transferred to anyone except the AI provider that performs that analysis on our behalf, it is never used or transferred for advertising, and it is never used to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes. No human at Vormly reads it.
The extension is a general-purpose creative tool and is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
If we change how the extension handles data, we will update this page and its effective date. Material changes will also be reflected in the extension's Chrome Web Store listing.
